I've been reading the 'no output to screen' thread with interest, since I have a similar, but different, problem. I can see documents to edit them just fine, but since upgrading my X window system I can't get anything meaningful to print.
The print preview screen shows each character replaced by an empty box. I get a similar result when trying to print emails from Ximian Evolution, but not when printing from my various text editors. Thus far, it's not been a critical problem, but it soon will be. I'm using RH7.1, and have had this problem with both 0.9.x and 1.0.1. I'm assuming it is a font problem, but I don't understand enough about linux fonts to know how to fix it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
