Czech letters on the Palm

To whom it may concern,   I have Abiword and I want to send Czech letters back and forth from my laptop to my PalmPilot m500.  Is there some way to do this?  When I saved my document as a palm document, I lost my Czech letters.  If this is not possible, does anyone know how I can do this?   Thanks,   Richard Grainer
