how to read abiword files with MS word?

Hi,   I use Abiword on Windows 2000 and have 2 problems: I tried to send some Abiword documents to people using MS Word and when they open the file, there�s loads of lines with letters, numbers, sings & whatever and somewhere inbetween the text. What am I doing wrong? I tried different formats - doc, rtf etc - but none of it worked. I�m an averadge windows user and really have no idea of computer-stuff, so please EASY explanations...   Another thing is sometimes when I open a document there appear 3 or 4 letters from somewhere in the text at the end of it and I can�t delete them or anything. Normally when this happens, Abiword crashes down after some minutes.   Thanks, Elisa
