yes, host and target machines are one and the same

Correct. I didn't remove anything. I still have imagemagick packages;

$ rpm -qa | grep -i imagemagick
ImageMagick-c++-devel-5.4.3.11-1
ImageMagick-c++-5.4.3.11-1
ImageMagick-5.4.3.11-1
ImageMagick-devel-5.4.3.11-1

What does the plugin do by the way?
I don't usually put pictures in the document, but even without the plugin, I
just tried and I can insert and resize picture (jpeg) file in abiword just
fine. Just curious.... I compiled that plugins just because I wanted to try
stuff, not because I knew I was going to need it.

Thanks.
