True There is a seperate bugzilla component for this which gives you an idea of how bad it is. This was a nice feature but no one has liked it enough to want to work on it but I also suspect that it is not widely known about either. > Has viEdit gotten past where they were a few years ago? > http://www.abisource.com/mailinglists/abiword-dev/99/April/0010.html > http://www.abisource.com/mailinglists/abiword-dev/99/April/0089.html Offhand i dont think much has been done it at all, a quick look at the bugizlla component should give you a good idea. I certainly dont recally anyone mentionioning it much in the past two years. > If so, where are the changes documented? these changes would only really be documented as part of CVS commit logs and comments in the relevant files the location (off the top of my head) is roughly something like this: abi/src/wp/ap/xp/ap_LB_wiEdit.cpp and several other files to try and deal with the various differnt Modes, (insert, command, visual mode etc). > (Btw, move by sentence was claimed to be implemented but > does not work.) if you can describe the problem thoroughly it might be relatively easy for a developer to get it working if there is already almost working code in place. > I am a Vim user, so I can speak to some of the desirable > additions. While it may not be as easy as other programs i still think you might be able to do something to help nudge this along, perhaps asking and evangelising elsewhere you might be able to get some Vi hackers interested. I supsect there are still simpler things that are missing but geting the modes and things to work fully seems more complicated. Please do try, Good luck. > Cheers, > Alan Sincerely Alan Horkan http://advogato.org/person/AlanHorkan/ ----------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word unsubscribe in the message body.
