The distro in use is Lycoris.

Tried that (should have said so, sorry)

Not Windows, so nope

What kind of info you after? 

KDE 2.2.2
glibc 2.2.5
kernel 2.4.18

nothing fancy passed to configure other than --prefix=/usr

This is a clean install too, no hacks or any other packages installed.
Seems strange. I haven't got any issues with abiword under RedHat.
