The build is broken, whatever the distro is. I found that out by reading that and trying myself.
Sorry, but I'm not sure, if I fully understood: The tarball with 1.0.5 sources won't compile on Linux? Are other Unices also affected? And what about other platforms (Windows ...)?
If the sources are really broken, is there a plan to release something like 1.0.5a or 1.0.5.1 with a fix?
