My database is fed via ODBC to an AS400 database (read only), and it
lists data via the normal shipping outline (name, address, city, etc).
Within this info though there are multiple lines of duplicate shipping
information, ie when the same person orders more than one product it
places a line per item.
My process is that the shipping personnel scan the order barcode and it
populates a form that I created with the information, from there they
print out a shipping label and place it on the package. With the AS400
being live all the time and changing from day to day, I have to capture
the information used that day so in case they need to go back days
later it is still there.
Is there a way that upon scanning the label and populating the form for
the database to copy that info to another table, and at the end of the
day we will have the info used for the shipments that day.
