Use the InStr() function.
If Instr([search field],"@") > 0 Then
If there is a "@" in the field the number will reflect the position and it
will be greater than 0

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Query Question

I have a table, tblPhone, that contains 2 fields. PhoneType and
PhoneNumber. The data type for both are text. I want to print a
report that shows work phone number and email accounts. Since both
phone numbers and email accounts are in the field PhoneNumber, how
would I write something that says if field phone number has
characters, the @ symbol, then characters, then show that record.
As far as I have gotten email:IIF(IsNull([phonenumber]=   I can't
figure out how to say [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks
