I used
to use it all the time, but my projects got so big that the initial search would
be slow with the later versions. And this is not a long-term job (although
much longer than the initial one-week estimate, which I didn't believe from the
beginning), so I don't think I can ask them to buy SpeedFerret when they did get
FMS CodeTools for me which I use all the time. But, since I am working
with a legacy database, I would dearly love to rename alot of the fields in use
from the old system and be sure of not having the old name in any
places that I didn't catch.

Subject: RE: [AccessDevelopers] Alternative to SpeedFerretMy two cents:I bought SpeedFerret a couple years ago, and then uninstalled it at some point later, which somehow trashed my Windows Installer. Every time I try to install a Windows service (IIS for instance), the installer is looking for a SpeedFerret msi file, which is missing. Support was less than helpful.Probably an anomoly, but I thought I'd share...Tom Oakes

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Alternative to SpeedFerretI recall that someone posted a source for a freeware program that could do a global search-and-replace in Access one of the times that I mentioned SpeedFerret. Anybody remember what that was? It was many months ago, and searching in the Yahoo archives is such a tedious process!
