Assumption: 'other branch' has high speed Internet connection. www.webex.com and MS Net Meeting both require someone at the remote location to put you on a computer using one of these applications. VNC (www.realvnc.com) is free, but requires port forwarding on the Internet router. This solution requires an extra computer at the remote location to be always available.
You could setup a VPN connection and use MS Terminal Server. VPN - Terminal Server(XP - Remote Desktop) is the best solution overall. The other option is frame relay depending on the size your company and location of your other office.
