Norman,
There is a file with the same name as the Access database with a .ldb
extension in the same directory file path etc. Delete this file once you
are sure everyone has logged out.
Good Luck

I am experiencing problems with a training records database that
keeps telling me that I do not have exclusive use & therefore may not
be able to save changes.

My colleagues (2) have closed down their working copies & rebooted to
clear any memory locks on their PC's.

I have done the same, yet when I go into the DB and start to review
form coding etc, I get the same message again. I am 100% sure that
no one has the DB open.

The file DB is in AC2000 format and running in a Access 2002 screen.
The DB is in shared mode and no record locking set.
The initial creator of the DB has long since left the organisation
and is no longer contactable to assist.

I know that there are system tables somewhere, but do not know if
there are any settings that can or would be advantageous to change
there? How do I display them anyway.

Any comments would be very much appreciated.

Rgds
Norman Pearce
