You need to look at the properties for the form -- either click on the
Properties button on the toolbar, or right-click on the form and then go
down to Properties (last item on the list). You will be able to see if
the form is based on a table or query there, from the Record Source on
the Data tab.

Then click on the combobox, and go to the Data tab on the Properties
window; Control Source is the first line, and if it is empty, then the
control is unbound. It might be best for you to delete the combobox,
then be sure the Wizard button in the Toolbox toolbar is clicked, then
click on the Combobox button to add it back in; the wizard will help in
setting it up.

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Re: New fields on a form... PROBLEM!!

Ok, I'm obviously doing something wrong... If I go to the Forms tab,
and highlight the form in question and hit Design (Design View) I
get the design of the form. That's fine... but when I go to Control
Source on the combo box I have created, I cannot access the new
field. Next bad question... how can I tell if a form is based on a
table or query? I don't believe it to be a query. Also, on my
combo box that I added, it says "Unbound". Does that have any
bearing on my problem?? - Thanks!! - ME
