Cathy, Bot the main form and subforms are sourced by queries. The main form query has a field ClientID, and the Subform query has a field AuthorID. These are the linking fields.
I have the Link Child Fields set to AuthorID and the Link Master Fields set to ClientID. These fields are the same thing, only from different places. Do the Link Child Fields and Link Master Fields properties contain values that would link the mainform to the subform? From your description, it sounds as though this should be authorid. I'm not an expert, but this is the first thing I'd check. > Hope this makes some sort of sense! > Cheers > Cathy > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Pete Harrison > Sent: 13 October 2005 11:17 > To: [email protected] > Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Re: Forms and Subforms > > > OK, I've now got the dropdown lists populated by putting a row > sourse as a query against the source query for the form, but when I > select a different author name, the subform does not change. > > Do I need some kind of afterupdate code? > > Regards > Pete > ------------------------ Yahoo!
