Debbie,
As apparent from your post, you are trying to implement
the following.
(a) Display time value in Short Time format, on a new
line in a concatenated string.
(b) Ensure proper space utilization, even with long memo
fields.
For illustration, let there be two fields in report's
record source, named CaseName (text type) and CaseTime (date/time type) and
corresponding bound controls in the detail section. These bound controls can be
kept hidden. Insert an unbound text box named Txt_A in the detail section.
Sample code given below, placed in format event of
detail section will display the desired information in Txt_A. If any value
exists in CaseTime field, it will appear on a new line in Txt_A, as part of
overall concatenated string.
For handling memo fields, please ensure that
KeepTogether property of detail section is set to No. If necessary, similar
action should be taken for group headers.
Note - Whenever memo fields are involved, it is highly
desirable to set KeepTogether property of detail section to No. Otherwise, the
report may hang up indefinitely, if any memo field happens to span more
than one page.
Best wishes,
A.D.Tejpal
