Glenn, That's a tricky one. Here are some ideas to give you a place to start.
1) You mention that the references are the same. Have you double-checked to make sure that none of them say "missing"? 2) If you have an MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) problem, that might cause it. If you are not familiar with MDAC, at least read up on it a little bit before touching anything (consider these links) http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnmdac/html /data_mdacinstall.asp http://support.microsoft.com/?id=307255 and, after having read through the geek speak, if it looks like this is the problem but you're still not comfy with it, if possible work with someone who has made MDAC changes before. Microsoft has info about MDAC and 'switchboard connection failed' here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306132&Product=acc 3) You could look into your DSN (Data Source Name) on each computer and see if they are the same (or your connection object definition if you are doing it "DSN-less"). 4) I have seen posts that Access XP SP2 causes the kind of problem you have described, and that uninstalling SP2 solves it. I have no personal experience doing this, so it's strictly third party hearsay. 5) If your database is split into FrontEnd/BackEnd, and the links were defined using 'drive letters' instead of using 'shares', and the drive letters on the two computers are different, that will cause problems. 6) If none of this provides the answer, Yahoo (www.Yahoo.com) or Teoma (www.Teoma.com) on "(8007007F) Method 'Connection' of object - CurrentProject" Both Yahoo and Teoma have more hits on this search string than Google. It seems a number of people have had the same problem, and you might find your exact scenario. I am using switch board manager and have only the main switchboard. The program works fine on my machine but when loaded on another computer I get a RunTime Error '2147024769 (8007007F) Method 'Connection' of object - CurrentProject' Failed. Both machines are running the identical software and the references are the same. The application is a stand alone and are both in the same hieratical folder. What think ye? Thanks, Glenn P.
