If there is something in the barcode that specifies which record should be updated (i.e., the primary key, which is probably a good idea), then
you can use that to locate the record prior to updating the date/time.  Otherwise, just move the focus to the next record after the scan is done, and it will be ready for the next scan.

Yes it does, but my boss is wanting to be able just scan the code
and have it update the appropriate records.
