Hmmm.
NextJournalNumber = Right("00000" & Trim(str(Val(srec) + 1)), 5)
Since str is not capitalized, maybe it should read CStr since it appears
you are trying to convert a value to a string.
This may also apply to Val(srec) is srec a string you are trying to convert
to a value? I would use CInt(srec) to convert srec to an integer. Also why
do you need the trim function?
NextJournalNumber = Right("00000" & Trim(CStr(CInt(srec) + 1)), 5)
