Joe: open the form in DESIGN VIEW and right click on it. select Properties from the context menu. It will probably say "Detail" in the listbox at the top of the property window. open the listbox and select "Form". When you have selected "Form" in the property listbox, change the tab to "Data". There is an option there that says "Allow Edits". By default it is set to "Yes", but you can select "No" in the listbox. That should give you the behavior you are looking for.
