Make sure he has the latest service pack. There was an issue with the
Date() function in the first release of Access 2000, which was resolved
in Service Pack 1.

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Having trouble with Date()

Hi all,
One of our projects displays today's date in an unbound text box on the
main form. It works fine on the two developer's machines (we are both
running Windows XP, and the Access file is in Access 2000 format even
though we are running Access 2002). When we gave it to one of our team
members to use, he gets ?NAME? in the box instead of the date (or some
version of that). He is using Windows 2000 and Access 2000. Are we
just missing something that he needs or is there a problem with his
system???

Has anyone seen this before?

Jeanie
