This is clearly not the end of the road. We need to understand precisely any
problems encountered on Vista. For anyone attempting to run AG on Vista, if you
are encountering problems, please be noisy about them on the mailing list and,
more important, file bugs in the AG bugzilla (bugzilla.mcs.anl.gov/accessgrid)
so we can get them sorted along the road to Vista support.

   G'day All

Just a quick feedback to my initial email.

Thanks to those who replied. From the feedback, I decided to un-install
3.2beta and try 3.1, which worked fine (after deleting the AccessGrid3
directory).

Note that I was able to get Vic, Rat, VPCScreen and VenueVNC to work!

   Thanks all for your feedback.

   Cheers,

   Jason.

Subject: [AG-TECH] AG on Vista - Success Anyone??

   G'day All

Just a quick one! I was wondering if anyone has had any success with having
the AG working on Vista ?

If you have, can you tell me the following info please?

   · Which version were you using (3.1 or 3.2 beta?, the all in one
installer, or the separate packages);

   · Does all of the following work:

   o Vic

   o Rat

   o VPCScreen

   o VenueVNC

   · Was there anything special you had to do to get it working.

The reason for the question is I "quickly" tried installing the software on
Vista and had some pythonw errors. Before I investigate further tomorrow, I am
just wanting to hear if anyone has had any success and was there anything
special you had to do to get it working?

   Many thanks in advance,

   Jason.
