Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) was released last week. AG3.1 packages are
now available for it via the regular AG downloads page at ANL (http://
www.accessgrid.org/software) or directly from:
http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/research/accessgrid/software/debian/
hardy.html
Please note that if upgrading from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04, then the
location of the UQVislab repository will need to be changed manually
in order to access the correct package set. Do this by changing any
reference from "gutsy" to "hardy".
For instance, any entry like:
deb http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/debuntu/ gutsy/
should be changed to:
deb http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/debuntu/ hardy/
If installing the toolkit with apt-get or Synaptic, then the AGVCR
(from Derek Piper at IndianaU) and VPCScreen (from ANU) will also be
automatically installed.
The optional DV/HDV enabled vic & associated aghdvideoservices
packages are not available yet but will be generated sometime later
today.
