I had the same problem many years ago and I traced it down to the sound card
was configured for simplex. I only had to check a box, to "use duplex".
Afterwards it worked fine.

   Hi Jimmy,

I recall having a similar issue a long time ago with RAT. Checking off the
Echo Suppression on the talking site RAT has fixed it.

I have two very interesting problems. I'm working with Creighton
University to install AGtk-3.1 and every time they run the venue client,
it never comes up. I have had them remove the contents of AccessGrid3 in
c:\\ Documents and Settings\<account>\Application Data and that didn't
work. So what would cause this behavior in the Venue Client?

Also, when Creighton went back to to 3.0.2 and connected with me. The
only way that I could hear them, was to turn off talk on my RAT. When I
had talk selected, I couldn't hear them. Any ideas?
