Jeremy,

The client (Slack 12) has python2.5 yet the errors refer to python  
2.4 as would be on the server (Slack 11). Where is the client showing  
these errors (debug output, logs, ui)?


Another thing, does the error occur consistently in any way e.g.  
downloading a particular file, using a particular venue, all  
downloads, all venues?

If its a particular file or group of files, what file sizes are  
involved?


Can your user also try downloading anything from a different venue  
server e.g.
        https://vv3.ap-accessgrid.org:8000/Venues/default
(which is also running Slack 11)
