I'm happy that we now can send full frame video with the new h.264/MPEG-4 codecs. I am also dismayed that the codecs are such CPU hogs. On my current system, it seems I can only run two video sources before nailing the CPU at 100%. I can't do much else. I'm about to setup a second machine to capture two additional sources, I need to stream four sources for this performance at the end of the month.
Is this something that is being looked at? Are others experiencing the same thing? What does everyone else, that tried it, think? Are others still seeing the flashing white lines when the source is connected via firewire? later, Jimmy -- Jimmy Miklavcic Multimedia Specialist jimmy.miklav...@utah.edu<mailto:jimmy.miklav...@utah.edu> UNIVERSITY OF UTAH CTR FOR HIGH PERFORM COMPUTING 155 SOUTH 1452 EAST RM 405 SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84112-0190 Office: 801.585.9335 Fax: 801.585.5366 http://www.anotherlanguage.org<http://www.anotherlanguage.org/>
