Unfortunately RAT is currently unable to use separate input and output devices - eg multiple USB mics would not work unless they have a built-in output as well. (like the Phoenix echo canceller boxes). It is for the same reason that HD Intel card style cards currently do not work with RAT as they present themselves as separate input and output devices.
