Hi, Following up on my earlier email regarding difficulties installing wxPython2.6-osx-unicode on my Powerbook G4...
The installer log shows this: Mar 14 10:30:32 jts-powerbook : run postflight script for wxPython2.6-osx-unicode-panther Mar 14 10:30:32 jts-powerbook : postflight[471]: /usr/bin/python2.3: can't open file '//System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/lib/python2.3/compileall.py' Mar 14 10:30:32 jts-powerbook : postflight[471]: Mar 14 10:30:32 jts-powerbook : Install failed: The following install step failed: run postflight script for wxPython2.6-osx-unicode-panther I looked in //System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/lib/python2.3/ There is a file named 'compileall.pyo' but not one named 'compileall.py' Could this be the problem? And if I copy 'compileall.pyo' and rename it to 'compileall.py' do you think the installer will work? Thanks. John
