Hello everyone, I am looking at constructing a single computer Access Grid node. I've been to the http://www.accessgrid.org/hardware site and done numerous web searches, but have not been able to locate current "build your own" single board node information. I was wondering if anyone has experience with modern Supermicro boards(particularly the current dual core Xeon systems). I'm considering the X7DAE, X7DBE, or X7DB3 and would like you to share good or bad experiences. I'm also concerned about the noise level if I go with a recommended Supermicro case for one of these boards. If not Supermicro, is there a dual processor Xeon 5100 series board that is "recommended?" Or should I avoid building from scratch?
Thanks to all in advance. - Patrick --------------------------------------------------- Patrick Hillyer Network Engineer NIUTel (815) 753-8550 phone (815) 753-0198 fax [email protected]
