The community portal is now living on:
http://agcentral.org
This is a dedicated machine in the secure confines of the ANU
Supercomputer
Facility machine room. For the paltry cost of $18, I couldn't resist
getting a proper
DNS name - this is most likely short-term, the current plan is to
eventually run on
accessgrid.org.
The hope is that the community at large can now work together to create
a centralized repository of AG expertise and software. So how can
you help?
1) Sign up for an account.
2) Create a FAQ, How-To, or Tutorial on some aspect of the AG. See the
following for more info: http://agcentral.org/help/how-to/use-help-
center
Note, a good method of thinking up topics is to trawl the ag-tech
archives for
common questions and answers.
3) If you are working on 3rd party AG software, login and publish
your project
on the portal: http://agcentral.org/downloads. if you are a node
operator,
download some software, try it out and offer constructive feedback to
the
developers.
4) Offer feedback and suggestions for ongoing development of the
portal. What
functionality do we want?
