I've used the onboard integrated Intel AC'97 sound of Dell Dimensions and Precisions without the above the problem. I don't have an Audigy 2. Looks like it's an ALSA/Audigy special control handling issue in the rat code, similar to what is described here for kmix: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104376#c4 Cheers, Doug
