Jason, We have found the AccuMic II to be really excellent for desktop or very small room nodes. I've seen them used in a lecture theatre environment, but it was a disaster really. By "small room", I mean small enough so that all participants can be within about 5-6ft of the unit. That probably limits the number of participants. There is an extension unit for the AccuMic, which would raise that limit (but also doubles the price). For larger environments, the XAP400 (or Vortex) is essential.
