I've set up CVS on my winxp machine. When I run the venue client and manage my node, I can add the service manager for localhost:11000 but there's no services listed. I looked at my AGtk2.2 installation and there is a "NodeServices" directory with 4 zip files for audio and video services. I don't see these files in the same directory where I checked out the source. And looking at the HTML CVS view on www.accessgrid.org I don't see the directory either.
To solve the problem, I copied the zip files from my AGtk2.2/NodeServices dir to the one in the source directory. That fixed things and I can now get into a venue etc... Did I miss something when I checked out CVS or is there something more that is supposed to be done to access the node services from CVS? The reason I ask, is that I have an idea for a node service and I wanted to be sure I understood how the current ones work before jumping in the deep end... ;-) Thanx, Michael Miller System Engineer Visualization Technology Support Computing and Data Management National Center for Supercomputing Applications University of Illinois - UC 217-649-0747 "If you're clear in your vision and trust the people in your team with clear objectives, they will invariably do their best to achieve everything desired, and usually deliver everything you could have hoped for and even more." -Paul Debevec
