I have been playing with the shared browser application in Linux. Although getting the full functionality may not be trivial (seems like it should be possible via the Gecko API), at least for me, it should be relatively easy to create a listen-only application based on the old Netscape remote-control mechanism. I got some of the way to this based on the 2.2 code in CVS.
