   Dear ag-tech,

Following on from the recent email about the HPC-Europa project
(www.hpc-europa.org), I'd like to mention a few things we are
considering working on here at EPCC (www.epcc.ed.ac.uk):

o Visual identification of "active" window (the window(s) in which
someone is speaking) based on output from RAT.

For some time now, I have been developing a system which does vic window
highlighting and rat left-right panning of the current speaker. I hope to
make it available to a wider audience after I've done more testing. If
you're interested in implementation details, here's a pointer to a poster I
made for SC2003: http://scv.bu.edu/~putnam/ag-audio/misc/poster.pdf.

N.B.: the folks at ANU are also working on this; they described the current
state of their efforts at last week's AG Retreat.

Robert

Thanks in advance for your comments/answers!

   Regards,
   Adam
