One additional point to my previous mail (see below)....make sure that you only
have one video service added in the "Access Grid Node Management" dialogue
(each video service will start its own instance of VIC). You can remove
services by right clicking on the service and selecting "remove".

The services are located in two places the first is in the AGtk 2.2
installation directory. If you installed AGtk2.2 in the default directory
check:

   "C:\Program Files\Access Grid Toolkit\NodeServices" (for 2.2 beta)

   "C:\Program Files\AGtk2.2\NodeServices" (for 2.2 release)

The zip files in this directory are the ones that will show up in the AGtk
services dialogue (so in your case "VideoService.zip")....the file is
automatically decompressed by the AGtk2.2 software. If you have two identical
services showing up it is likely that there are two zip files with the same
internal name - to check you can uncompress the zip files located in the
"NodeServices" directory and have a look at the names of the zipped files; they
should match the name of the zip file itself (i.e. for "VideoService.zip", the
files in the zip archive should be named: "VideoService.svc", "VideoService.py"
and "vic.exe"). In addition, opening up "VideoService.svc" in a text editor,
the name field should have the value: "VideoService". Make sure that no other
.zip file in the "NodeServices" directory has the name "VideoService" assigned
to it at any level (that is, make sure that "VideoService" is not used as a
file name for the .zip file and its contents and that it is not used in the
.svc file under the name field).

Sometimes it is also necessary to remove files from the "C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Application Data\AccessGrid\local_services" directory
(where <username> should be replaced with your login name). This directory
will contain the following (or something similar anyway..):

   AudioService (directory)
   VideoService (directory)
   AudioService.py
   AudioService.zip
   VideoService.py
   VideoService.zip

If the video service does not start up properly it may be because the copy
in the "local_services" directory is out dated. Try deleting the related files
(i.e. VideoService (directory), VideoService.py, VideoService.zip) - don't
worry these files should be recreated automatically when you add the service
via the AGtk2.2 GUI

It is a little difficult to explain in text - so if you have any
difficulties let me know.

Quick question, anyone know what file is being used when you add "Video
Service" and a resource listing appears. I am getting duplicates in the list
and the venue client is launching duplicate video streams. Is there some config
file that is associated with the video resources?
      I am on a W2k machine with AGtk 2.2

      Thanks,
