the "breakout" box is simply a small junction box that separates the power from the signal of the Polycom (with an additional cable) and provides line level audio for inputs and outputs to a computer audio board or onboard auido. otherwise the polycom is just a telephone device. fyi, -gurcharan ================================= Gurcharan S.
