I have monitored this discussion, regarding video capture cards, with great
interest. After reading what has been posted, however, I am a little curious
about something and want to ask.

There has been a lot of discussion regarding the Winnov Videum 4400 video
capture card with its four inputs, and it sounds to me like it is the typically
used multiple-input video capture card. So, if I may ask, why this card as
opposed to the iTuner Spectra8? From what I have been able to find out, the
Spectra8 also has 4 inputs (expandable to 8 with a frame-rate tradeoff) and
costs considerably less than the Videum 4400. Sure, the Videum 4400 (if I
remember correctly) has the sound inputs as well, but that didn't seem
necessary to me. Is there something I am missing here? From reading product
specs, both cards capture four video streams at speeds up to 30 fps but the
lower price of the Spectra8 appeals to me. Because of that, I don't understand
the interest in the Videum 4400 card. Please let me know what I am missing and
thanks in advance.
