Pete, You might also make sure Aaron is available as he is implementing IAccessible2. If we were to change the event constants, for example, we would need to assess the impact to the application vendors and when they could implement a change. Symphony could also be in a position to change some of these now. Regarding Linux, someone should address the question about control patterns. One problem we would have is the Microsoft Community Promise on UIA does not allow implementors to take parts of UIA: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/bb892136.aspx Mapping properties is one thing but implementing entirely new interfaces that allow an AT to do scrolling remotely, etc. is much more involved.
