Might I ask if you were using NVDA's method with the commands NVDA +
Shift + C (for the column header row) and NVDA + Shift + R (for the row
header column) marking, or were you specifying these in Excel itself?

I'm really not certain if the NVDA-based technique for designation in Excel
will work, the analogous method of denoting header rows/columns in the
spreadsheet itself will work, or neither works with Calc.
