A clarification, RFBD does not provide CDs to people outside the United
States and so, tapes are the only option. The question of software and
players does not arise.

As far as I know, you have to send the device you plan to use for
reading to 
RFB&d before being a member to get an authorisation key. Otherwise, you
have 
to buy the necessary software and player from them.
