Hi, <snip I also want to ask that How we can know that Is anyone seeing or hacking our computer . PL] You would need to look at what was being accessed. The best offence in this case is a good defence. I shall list out a few things you can do to stay safe when online. However, to continue with knowing whether your machine has been broken into, look at the system and application logs. Unusually heavy bandwidth usage plus extra connections to your computer are good indicators of a break in. Finally, unusual computer behaviour like the machine slowing down abruptly or random reboots are also possible symptomes. To see the connections that have been made to your computer, you can use the netstat command at a dos prompt.
As for staying safe online: 1. Do not run as an administrative user. 2. Keep the operating system up-to-date with patches. Microsoft has made this easy with its automatic update service. 3. Use a variety of reputed anti-malware applications. 4. Stay alert for unusual e-mail and items that are too good to be true. There are no free lunches.
