Madras High Court has directed public sector insurance giant LIC to keep vacant three per cent of the posts in the current recruitment for Apprentice Development Officers for persons with disabilities. Apart from this interim order, Justice D Hariparanthaman passed a further direction to the LIC to issue a separate advertisement calling for applications to fill the three per cent posts from persons with disabilities as provided under the provisions of Persons with Disabilities Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act.
