Hello, I also do have net banking and debit card with SBI which I have taken on thumb impression. However, I had to fight to get it. I ask the officer to give in writing that I can't avail the facilities using thumb impression. He said no, since your VI I can't give you and he raised lots of questions like, what if your net banking password get hacked? What if your card get stolen? And so on. I shown him circulars of RBI and SBI in which clearly stated that there should not be any discrimination by giving these facilities to VI; still he was denying me. I asked him to write the same thing that since your VI I can't give these facilities to you. I boldly told him I'll not leave the counter unless I get the facilities or denial in written. I also taking video while talking to him. After seeing my mobile, he requested me to stop the video I said I won't! then he scared a bit and told me to wait for 2 3 days. After 5 days, I received the debit card by post and when I gone to get pin of it he gave me the net banking as well. So, I won the battle but the wore remains same!!! Don't know what should we do since lot of people face the same problem while getting these facilities.
