madam, If you enter the outlook web app with your browzer, in the log in screen, you can find "use the light version of outlook wep app" CHECK BOX, for visually impaired and for slow PCS. Please check gthe check box by using space bar, then log in in to the mail. Now you will be able to use outlook web app like the basic HTML version of GMail.
