I felt this report also highlights one of the problems of lack of quality
mobility and orientation training.

One should not need to depend on others for going to classroom, cafeteria and
any other place in the college. Any blind person with proper training and
orientation can visit any place in a college or office complex.

Unfortunately there are other incorrect representations such as no mention of
talking computer and mobile phones with screen readers. Regarding phone as
well, it only mentions voice assisted calling which is not same as screen
reader assisted full operation.

If this report goes out to public, it will lead to wrong perceptions and will
be difficult to correct once established.

Hello,

It all depends on what you have to contribute to a group. If they find
your conversations interesting, your vision impairment isn't really a
barrier in socialising. If the interest don't match then you can't
really blaime your vision impairment at all. We tend to corelate every
negative/ positive happening in our life to our vision impairment
which might sound flashy from a researcher's prospective but it isn't
practical at all.

Cheers,
Ajay
