Please note that you need nothing to panic about the security vulnerability caused by disabling that security feature. You are completely safe as long as you do not install add-ons from untrusted sources. If you're uncertain about any add-on or toolbar, Do not allow the installation of such stuffs that come bundled with several third party applications. You might end up installing such annoying applications if you keep on clicking "next" while installing softwares without looking at the options to accept or reject the optional components.
