Hello, Follow the steps given below to convert a table to text in word 2007: 1. focus your kerser inside the table which you would like to convert in to text. 2. now you will notice that the word will present the table ribbin in which you can work to convert your table. 3. Select the rows or table that you want to convert to text. 4. Under Table Tools, click Layout > Data > Convert to Text. The shortcut key command is alt+j and then followed by l v. 5. pressing this key command will open the convert table to text dialog box. 6. In the Convert to Text dialog box, under Separate text at, click the separator character such as - or comma to use in place of the column boundaries. 7. you need not specify to mark the separator for rows as Rows are separated with paragraph marks by default. 8. press enter on ok button.
Now your selection table data will be converted to text based on your choice. If you don't see the number of columns that you expect, you may be missing a separator character in one or more lines of text. Follow the steps given below to convert text to a table in word 2007: 1. Insert separator characters — such as commas or tabs — to indicate where you want to divide the text into columns. Use paragraph marks to indicate where you want to begin a new row which will be activated by default based on your line completion or paragraph within your text. Select the text that you want to convert. 3. now go to insert tab by pressing alt+n key. On the Insert tab, in the Tables group, click Table, and then click Convert Text to Table which is third option. The shortcut key command is press alt+n and follow by t and then v. 4. giving this command, convert text dialog box will appear. In the Convert Text to Table dialog box, under Separate text at, click the option for the separator character that you used in the text for instance, tab or comma. If your text is separated by any other symbol, select the option other and select the marked separator. 5. finally, press enter on ok button. hope this helps.
