Hello friends, On 6 December I bought Angel India, Here I will try to review this device so anybody wants to buy this device can decide for buying or not. When we open the box, will get USB, CHARGER ADOPTOR, HEAD PHONES, User manual. The device has 15 buttons on the surface and it does not have display screen. It looks like an AC remote. There are 3 cable jacks on the bottom of device namely headphone, USB and External Mike from left to right. On the top left side of the device there is a SD card slot where 32 GB card can be inserted. The seller claims the 8 GB internal memory but I found only 4 GB internal memory. This device supports Hindi and English languages and both languages have male and female voice engines. The sound of the device from the speaker and sound of voice engine are excellent. The speaker is located behind the device. The device is ultra light to carry. The device comes with many functions like clock, alarm, stop watch, daisy reader, music player, compass, calculator and FM radio. To perform calculations on device is very complex process as it does not have numeric and function key, so 1 has to select each digit with arrow key and functions by menu key. The Unlike its predecessor this device does not have short wave and medium wave radio but only has FM radio. The FM radio only can be played by connecting the headphone. The quality of FM receiver is less than average. If this device is to be used by blind peoples then it should have multiple radio bands. None of the buttons are numbered or labeled so when we open the box we are clueless about how to operate the device. 1 can search power button buy searching the embossed LED light over the power button. The user manual is in printed format and the question arises how it is to be read by blind person. Even I tried to search the user manual online in e-book or daisy format but failed to get. I tried with KNFB reader on iPhone 6s and Openbook on my PC but no success. So user manual is not at all blind friendly. The only way for file transfer is through USB mode and no Bluetooth functionality is available. The charger cum USB cable is not like the USB cables used in android phones, so 1 has to carry angel charger separately. It has very nice recording quality through internal mike but external mike has not yet tried. The music quality on speaker is nice but under expectation on its preprovided headphones. The music quality improves little if you attach a branded headphone. Summery, this is a very nice device for academic purpose but don’t expect it to be work as an entertainment device. We get too little in the price of RS 8700. I will give 3 stars out of 5. Note, above expressed views are my personal and 1 has to take decision on the bases of 1’s good sense. I have formed the above views only after using the device just for 2 days and it may change when I will get more familiar with the device over a period of time.
