Yesterday, the list was down for most part of the day, it could not cope up
with the traffic load.

Quite a number had updated their status on the list which resulted in breach of
the traffic allowed.

I have shifted this thread on the old domain, if continued would be there and
the load would get divided.

To Answer George, we ought to file in many HC as the issue is indeed pressing
and considerable effort is required to bring about a change. We need to
highlight that the problem is indeed huge and an early intervention is required.

We also need to garner support from all NGO's and this is not 1 NGO issue and
all need to chip in.

A good number of us have contacts in the media and we need to put our might.
Also, we should be guarded that we don't go oberboard and focus on the issue on
hand.

Harish.

Subject: [DKIM Failure] Re: [Ai] Representation to RBI for accessible Indian
Currency, an update on meeting with RBI

I think we should file cases in every High Court of the Nation. The Prime
Minister and his Govt has to recognize that this is a problem, a real problem.
A problem faced by people who are blind in every State of the country. Again it
is a case of multiple voices from across India. More people (judges) are
compelled to deliberate on the issue. This will give the issue a Nation wide
feel.

George NAB I had filed a case prior to the new notes and the case is still
pending. Thinking about intervening but need to build up support and lots of
material. Vishal is leading this initiative for BGFI and we are and have to
support it. Will require your active participation when the campaign builds
up.
Shireen-Dialogue has been happening for 8 years since I have been involved.
Based on Asif's email dialogue has been happening for more than 10 years. RBI
is also consulting the right people/organisations but .... At the meeting held
on 19th Sept I discovered that the current team had not read the notes prepared
by the earlier officials nor had they bothered to read the replies they had
received from NGOS. Luckily I had a lot of the material. So consulting is a
must but listening and implementing the suggestions is crucial. Therefore the
need for this fight.
Vasu this fight has to be every day not every month. We don’t have time. The
difference between the new Rs. 50 note and theRs. 200 note is very little. The
probable Rs. 100 note is going to be in between these 2. We have a disaster in
the making. It is too serious a matter for us not to work on this one issue
till we win.
RBI officials are very polite and helpful and very sensitive to our needs but
on the ground the reality is simple -we have a major problem and one that will
continue for a long time unless we rise for our rights.
Kanchan

Do you think we should file a case with the Court?

Dear Friends,

Extremely good work. I remember having participated in at least 2
meetings of this nature. Unfortunately, not much has yielded. Also, the
problem of coins is equally challenging and is getting worse.

Actually, I feel that we must take up this issue with the minister of finance
as at a certain level, RBI is also bound by executive orders.

With best wishes,

Ketan
