Hi, even I faced the issue of appointing assistant when I joined my post in a government high school by my HM and luckily relieved from the struggle as soon as a new HM arrived who recognised my teaching ability and never mentioned about it and now I am working under my third HM who has also never put to me such a word of having an assistant... There are some officials who make up such pressure not just for our assistance but for performing other duties of the school and also to assist otherstaff too... This has to be checked. I still don't know how many of us VI teachers have been pressured to have assistance and are having such assistants reluctantly. In my personal experience having assistants creates a gap between us teachers and the taughts as I was not able to mingle with my students as I could do now and not all my tasks were done with care as it is being done by me now eventhough I paid forthe assistant.......
